Xuefei Yang: Guitar Favourites
I was delighted to be asked to work on Xuefei Yang's wonderful new album "Guitar Favourites". Recorded at Abbey Road and produced by Fei herself, I edited, mixed and mastered the album for her.
Christian Li: Mendelssohn 'Spring Song'
I spent a lovely, warm August day with Christian and James Baillieu recording Mendelssohn's Spring Song at the Menhuin School. I produced and edited it and it was mixed by Philip Siney. Christian is obviously an amazing musician and one to keep an eye on!
Wagner: The Ring Cycle Remaster (Solti)
It was wonderful to be asked to remaster for SACD and HD Digital Solti's amazing Ring Cycle for Decca. Often described as a landmark recording in opera and sometimes considered as one of the greatest projects in recording history, it was a bit daunting but, together with some great work from Philip Siney, I think it's now sounding better and cleaner than ever! I sometimes had to check the recording dates went back as far as 1958!
John Brunning: Lacrymosa
I really enjoyed producing the track 'Lacrymosa' which was included on the album 'Magna Carta'. Recorded at Tileyard Studios, it is a piece for guitar and cello played beautifully by Xuefei Yang and Johannes Moser.
